Within the city limits there are close to 60 different Chicago zip codes. Typically, a single zip code will stretch across several separate Chicago neighborhoods. However, there are many neighborhoods big enough to have their own zip code, such as East Rogers Park (60626). You'll also find quite a few Chicago neighborhoods that are divided by more than one zip code, like Lawndale which is spread out over five zip codes. And the Loop, despite its small size, requires six zip codes all to itself because of the high concentration of addresses in downtown.
