Buying a home is one of the biggest investments and decisions that most people can ever make. And as anyone who has gone through the process knows, it can also be tremendously confusing, stressful, and downright overwhelming - especially if it's your first time. Some months ago my mother was looking for a new home for herself. For various reasons too complicated to get into in detail, it was up to me to help her by taking the lead with the whole process, even though the home itself wasn't going to be for me. Rich was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. First, he is very knowledgeable - you could ask him pretty much any question about the home buying process and he'll have an answer. Second, he has a friendly and inviting personality, which makes him pleasant to work with. You would think every real estate agent or broker should be like that but somehow I doubt it. Rich repeatedly reassured me that I could ask as many questions as I needed to in order to make myself comfortable, and that's exactly what I needed. As it probably often happens for both sellers and buyers, there were a couple hiccups for us along the way, but Rich was always there to talk to about it. An ideal broker shouldn't disappear after the closing but remain available to help with unexpected or sudden issues. Rich has checked-in with us after the closing to make sure things were going well and, as a matter of fact, there is one small matter that he is still helping us with. He is exactly what a broker should be, and should the day ever come that I am ready to buy my own home, I will definitely want to enlist his services again.
