Working with Richard was great! He was very knowledgeable and helped us every step of the way to buy our first place. In this economy, finding places to buy isn't the hard part, dealing with short sales, foreclosures and knowing the market really takes some skill and Richard was fantastic with helping us. He really helped us figure out what we can afford and what to expect with some of these places (also what we may not be ready to jump into just yet- such as an entire gut rehab of a house) We started our search looking at foreclosures and short-sales but soon learned what a headache those can be and after a few offers fell short, we were able to jump on an absolutely AMAZING place that wouldn't have lasted had Richard not got us in to see it the day it hit the market. At that time, we were just about to get married and were also at the end of our lease (with a non-negotiable landlord) and Richard made some calls and helped us find a place to rent while we closed on our condo- it was a lifesaver. Since he is from Chicago, he knows everyone under the sun, and since we were new to basically everything, Richard gave us some awesome recommendations on financing as well as a slew of different options that he recommended for our legal, inspection and handyman help.
