Once strictly an industrial area, the South Loop has gone through a major change in recent years. Situated on the south edge of downtown, next to Grant Park and many of Chicago's fine arts colleges, the foundation for a vivacious, convenient and cultural neighborhood was established long ago. The addition of residential buildings and high-rise condos makes this area a great place to live if you want to be right in the heart of it all.
